Is 110 a good number?

Today January 4th 2007 is the start of the 110th Congress of the United States of America, and I feel good. Well, optimistic at least. I think that our newest Congressional Grandparents - Harry Reid and Nancy “The Gun” Pelosi have a lot to do, and a lot of drive to get all this done. We all know impeachment is off the table (so stop asking) as a quick side note to all the protesters out there this morning. Why protest for something that will inevitably take away from actually getting things done.

Sister Nancy’s agenda of the first 100 hours is one of beauty.

  1. Break the link between the Lobbyist and Legislation.
  2. Enact all the recommendations of the 9/11 (ahem*) Commission.
  3. Raise the Minimum Wage.
  4. Cut the interest rate on student loans (IN HALF).
  5. Government negotiation with Pharmaceutical Companies for lower prices.
  6. Broaden the types of stem cell research allowed with federal funds.

Not shabby for someone from Baltimore, huh? Now let’s see what actually gets done.

Back in the saddle again...

As part of my 2020 resolutions (not really but typing anything like this in January feels like one), I've decided to start using my Blogger account again and start saying all the things I've been forgetting to quickly to post on Twitter or all the things that make me laugh to myself in the car. Why not? I'm not popular enough on Twitter to get any sort of conversations going about the craziness I post. Facebook is DEAD (to me), and there so much crazy in the world that I might as well reopen my old blog and start saying something again. So here we are "The Feed 2.0". New Year, New Goals, Same ol' mindgrapes. However; with one small caveat this time around. I'm going to (try to) keep things a lighter.
